Who Can Apply?
If you’re an ambitious, unemployed South African graduate with a passion for IT, this could be your moment! To qualify for this 18-month trainee internship, you need to meet one of these requirements:
- An A+ or N+ qualification; **OR**
- An Information Technology & Computer Science Level 4 certificate.
It’s super important to note: if you’ve already completed an 18-month internship, this programme isn’t for you. Also, Ekurhuleni West TVET College strongly encourages people with disabilities to apply – this opportunity is for everyone!
What Does It Cover?
This isn’t just about getting your foot in the door; it’s about gaining valuable skills and experience. As an IT Trainee, you’ll be involved in a variety of essential tasks that will build your portfolio:
- Performing basic repairs on printers or recommending external fixes.
- Suggesting new computer parts when needed.
- Helping campus and head office staff with network operations.
- Installing and maintaining software and internet connections.
- Keeping administrative unit computers and printers running smoothly.
- Maintaining the campus or head office network infrastructure.
- Ensuring staff workstations, computers, and printers are always functioning well.
- Attending to any IT-related requests from campus management.
Plus, you’ll receive a monthly stipend of **R4,326.00** to help you out while you gain all this fantastic experience!
