Eligibility Criteria:

You need to meet some criteria in order to be eligible for ODI Fellowship Scheme 2024 that includes:

  • Open to candidates with a master’s degree or PhD in economics, statistics, or related fields
  • Suitable postgraduate qualifications include agricultural economics, environmental economics, international economics, health economics, development economics, econometrics, and statistics
  • Fellowship conditional upon successful completion of postgraduate degree if still studying at the time of application

Intellectual ability: 

  • Sound grasp of economic and statistical theory
  • Ability to apply knowledge to real-world problems
  • Data and information analysis for problem-solving
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication, especially translating complex ideas to non-specialists

Personal qualities:

  • Resilience and problem-solving skills
  • Interpersonal skills, cultural sensitivity, and political acumen
  • Patience and humility to learn new contexts and accept advice
  • Adaptability and flexibility in resource-constrained environments
