ABOUT THE BURSARY PROVIDER – MILPARK EDUCATION / W&RSETA
Milpark Education was first established in 1997 as a private provider of higher management education within the country. Today, Milpark Education still remains one of the top providers of Higher Education and Further Education and Training (FET) qualifications with its two main teaching campuses, one situated in Cape Town and the other in Johannesburg with its support offices located in Durban.
The Wholesale and Retail Sector Education and Training Authority (W&RSETA) is a public organisation, formed to encourage skill development in the Wholesale and Retail sector by way of grants, bursaries, training and learnerships. In 2011, the W&RSETA Bursary Scheme was born, with the aim of providing financial help to students studying wholesale and retail qualifications.
ABOUT THE MILPARK W&RSETA BURSARY – FIELDS COVERED
Milpark Education in collaboration with the Western Cape Office of the W&RSETA, are inviting students to apply for their bursary programme, for the 2025 academic year.
50 bursaries will be awarded to students residing in the Western Cape, for online BCom Accounting studies at Milpark Education (SAQA number 119198, NQF 7).
Studies will be through the Distance Learning Online study method.

MORE ABOUT THE MILPARK W&RSETA BURSARY – SELECTION
The bursary will provide FULL cover for all study fees.
Candidates will be required to attend an in-person bursary interview at the Milpark Education offices in Observatory, Cape Town.
ELIGIBILITY REQUIREMENTS FOR THE MILPARK W&RSETA BURSARY
Applicants must satisfy the following minimum entry criteria before applying (please note that failure to satisfy all the requirements will lead to your application not being considered):
- You must reside within the Western Cape province
- You must read and agree to the the bursary T&C’s
- You must be able to conduct your studies online – with daily access to a laptop or personal computer with a camera, speakers, and a microphone (or headphones), and a stable internet connection with upload and download speeds of at least 5Mbps
- You must NOT be a current Milpark Education student
- You must be unemployed

Submit clear copies of the following supporting documentation along with your completed application form (the submission of these documents is compulsory – if any items are missing, your application may be disqualified):
- ID document (certified copy)
- Matric certificate (certified copy)
Successful candidates will be required to submit proof of residence, and sign a bursary agreement.
