Who Can Apply?
To be eligible for this exciting opportunity, you need to tick a few boxes:
- You must have a B-degree (NQF Level 7) in one of these fields:
- Office Management
- Business Administration
- Public Administration
- Communications
- Human Resources Management
- You need to be unemployed and have no previous formal work experience. This is all about giving new graduates their first big break!
- You shouldn’t be participating in any other learnership or internship program.
- Be ready to sign an internship agreement with UFS.
Bonus points if you have:
- Good organisational and event management skills.
- Excellent proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Knowledge of CareerHub (Symplicity system), SharePoint, and Canva for presentations.
- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal) – you’ll be the first point of contact for many!
- The ability to work well under pressure and interact professionally with both students and staff.
What Does It Cover?

- A generous stipend of R9 100.50 per month to support you while you gain valuable experience.

- Key responsibilities including:
- Managing reception functions, visitor logs, and key control.
- Receiving and sorting mail, and circulating communications.
- Supporting Student Affairs and CTL administrative processes.
- Welcoming visitors and providing first-line support for general enquiries.
- Handling telephone and email communications.
