- You MUST be a citizen of, and currently living in, a Sub-Saharan African country.
- You should be graduating from, or already have graduated from, a partner institution of the Africa Health Collaborative (these are listed further down). You must not have started graduate-level studies yet.
- You need to be under 35 years of age.
- You must have shown fantastic academic excellence and strong leadership skills during your undergraduate years.
- You must be academically admissible to one of the sponsored graduate programs (we’ll list these too!).
- You need to genuinely want and commit to returning home after graduating to contribute to Africa’s economic growth and social development. This is about making a real impact back home!
What Does It Cover?
This is where it gets really exciting! The Mastercard Foundation Scholars Programme at U of T offers full financial assistance for your entire graduate studies. And we mean FULL. This includes:
- Travel expenses to Canada (including passport and visa application fees)
