- For matriculants (Grade 12): You need matric exemption with university acceptance. You must have achieved a B symbol in both Mathematics and English (please note, Maths Literacy won’t qualify). An overall average of 75% for all your subjects is also required.
- For university students:
- If you’re in your first or second year, you need an overall average of 70% in your university results.
- If you’re in your third or fourth year (undergraduate), an average of 65% is required.
- You need to be proficient in English and possess strong communication skills.
- You must be a South African citizen or hold permanent residency.
- Important Note: This bursary is not for students who require a Bridging Course to qualify for post-graduate studies.
