Who Can Apply?

To be eligible for this awesome bursary, here’s what you need to tick off:

You must be a Nigerian citizen.
You need to currently be in your second year of full-time study at a Public Nigerian University that’s accredited by the NUC (National Universities Commission).
You should have a minimum CGPA of 3.5 out of a 5-point grading system, or the equivalent in whatever grading system your university uses.
It’s super important that you’re NOT already receiving any other scholarship from an entity in the Oil and Gas industry, whether it’s national or international. This bursary is designed to support students who don’t have other funding.

Heads up: Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply – let’s get more women in higher education!

What Does It Cover?

The NNPC/SNEPCo Scholarship Programme provides a yearly financial grant to successful applicants. This grant supports you financially from your second year of undergraduate studies all the way through to the completion of your degree. This means consistent support to cover your academic needs, allowing you to focus purely on your studies without the added financial stress.

How to Apply?

All applications MUST be submitted online via the official scholarship portal. Make sure you don’t miss the deadline!
Only candidates who meet ALL the eligibility criteria will be invited to participate in a monitored computer-based test.
The top 10 candidates from each of Nigeria’s 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory will be shortlisted for academic verification before any scholarship offers are made.
Please note: Any falsified results will lead to immediate disqualification. Honesty is key!
Only candidates who successfully clear all the above stages will be contacted with a scholarship award.
Once you’re a scholar, remember to maintain a minimum of 3.5 CGPA per session (in a 5-grade system or equivalent) to keep receiving the award each year.
