National Disaster Management Centre (NDMC) Bursary 2026 – Closing Date: 30 September 2025 Apply Now!

Who Can Apply?

  • You must be a proud South African citizen.
  • If you’re applying for an Undergraduate, Postgraduate Diploma, or Advanced Diploma, you need an overall average of at least 60% in your most recent academic results.
  • For all you aspiring Master’s students, you’ll need an overall average of at least 65% in your most recent academic results.

What Does It Cover?

Worried about study costs? The NDMC Bursary has got you covered! This generous award aims to ease your financial burden so you can focus on your studies. If successful, the bursary will cover:

  • Your full registration fees.
  • Your full tuition fees.
  • A fantastic resources allowance of up to R11 000 specifically for Master’s students, to help with research materials and other academic needs.

  3. Already registered? Simply Login to access the application form.

Don’t forget to prepare and upload clear copies of these compulsory supporting documents. Missing even one could mean your application won’t be considered:

  • A certified copy of your South African ID document.
  • A certified copy of your Matric certificate.
  • Official proof of application, acceptance, or registration at a public South African tertiary institution (this must be on the institution’s letterhead).
  • Your most recent academic results if you are currently studying (also on the institution’s letterhead).
  • If you’re a Master’s applicant, include a short Curriculum Vitae (CV), highlighting your previous employment and academic qualifications. Keep it to a maximum of 2 pages.
  • Also for Master’s applicants, you’ll need to submit a research proposal based on one of the 16 Priority Thematic Areas.
