Job Summary

We are looking for a technically skilled IT Field Technician to join our team in Durban. The successful candidate will be responsible for on-site installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of IT infrastructure and systems at client locations.

Key Responsibilities

The IT Field Technician will be responsible for:

• Installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware and software at client sites
• Diagnosing and resolving technical issues promptly
• Conducting routine maintenance and system updates
• Providing technical support and training to end-users
• Travelling to various client locations as required
• Maintaining accurate documentation of work performed and inventory
• Complying with company policies, including honesty and integrity standards

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you must:

• Own a reliable personal vehicle, mobile phone, and laptop
• Have strong computer literacy and familiarity with common operating systems and software
• Be willing to travel frequently within assigned regions
• Be able to pass regular polygraph tests regarding honesty and drug-free compliance
• Have excellent problem-solving and communication skills
• Have prior experience in IT support or field service roles (preferred but not mandatory)

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

• A high school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications are a plus
• A valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• The ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to work outside regular hours if needed
