Job Overview

The Department of Health is seeking a qualified Stomatologist to join the SMU Oral Health Centre. The successful candidate will be responsible for rendering clinical services, supervising undergraduate and postgraduate research, teaching, and training students.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to have appropriate qualifications that allow registration with the HPCSA as a Dentist and a Master’s degree in a relevant field. A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Dentist after registration with the HPCSA is required, with a proven track record of research in the dental field and academic experience in teaching and training undergraduate and postgraduate students.

Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for rendering clinical services, supervising undergraduate and postgraduate research, teaching, and training students. They will also be required to develop and manage a dental research unit and conduct research in the School.
