Purpose Statement
- To provide strategic technical direction and manage multiple technical teams responsible for the technical delivery of the full product lifecycle.
- Oversee the ongoing drive to increase efficiency, optimisation, innovation, and people development.
Minimum Experience
- At least5 years’ experience in software development management.
- Experience in leading and working in an agile development environment, back-end or front-end development, crafting roadmaps, managing a budget, and using technical skills to support and guide a technical team.
Qualifications
Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce or Information Technology – Computer Science.
Ideal: Honours Degree in Commerce or Information Technology – Computer Science.
Knowledge and Skills
Minimum knowledge: Functional knowledge particular to the product, people management, stakeholder management, budgeting, business analysis, and project management.
Ideal knowledge: Banking industry, Central Collections environment, Capitec Bank Systems Environment, Capitec Bank Business Model, Agile development principles, and Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
Required skills: Communications, decision-making, influencing, interpersonal and relationship management, and negotiation skills.
