Job Summary

The Department of Social Development is seeking a qualified Social Worker to join their team. The successful candidate will be responsible for rendering social work services to vulnerable individuals, groups, families, and communities.

Requirements

A formal tertiary qualification in Social Work (e.g., Bachelor of Social Work) that allows professional registration with the SACSSP is required. Registration with the South African Council for Social Service Professions as a Social Worker is also necessary.

Duties

The successful candidate will be responsible for rendering social work services, conducting assessments, identifying and making recommendations on interventions, supporting social auxiliary workers, and performing administrative functions.
