The University of the Free State is seeking a Short Learning Programme Coordinator to join the Department of South African Sign Language and Deaf Studies. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating and managing the development, implementation, and evaluation of face-to-face and online Short Learning Programmes (SLPs) in South African Sign Language (SASL) and Deaf Studies.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Short Learning Programme Coordinator will be responsible for:

• Coordinating and managing the development, implementation, and evaluation of face-to-face and online SLPs in SASL and Deaf Studies.
• Developing, teaching, and coordinating SLPs and undergraduate modules in SASL and Deaf Studies.
• Delivering engaging academic content using blended learning methodologies and digital tools.
• Facilitating the design and continuous renewal of SLP curricula.
• Providing academic leadership in the administration of SLPs.

Inherent Requirements

A Bachelor’s degree on NQF Level 7 in South African Sign Language, advanced proficiency in SASL, and a minimum of 3 years’ relevant working experience are required.
