About the Faculty

The Faculty of Economic and Management Sciences offers a range of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across various academic units, including Accounting, Economics, and Management. The Department of Accounting is accredited with the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants (SAICA) and offers a three-year undergraduate degree and a Postgraduate Diploma in Accounting.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Facilitating learning and teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level in Financial Management and/or Taxation
• Providing academic leadership and administration at subject level
• Undertaking curriculum development and assessment
• Engaging in academic administration and leadership
• Conducting research and publishing
• Supervising undergraduate and postgraduate students
• Participating in community engagement and outreach
• Contributing to the co-ordination and management of the Department’s teaching and research programmes
