Position Summary
The University of Johannesburg (UJ) is seeking a Senior Lecturer for the Faculty of Law, Department of Private Law. The successful candidate will be expected to teach undergraduate and postgraduate modules, supervise postgraduate students, and conduct research in the field of Private Law.
Job Description
The Senior Lecturer will be responsible for teaching, research, and community engagement. Key responsibilities include:
- Teaching undergraduate and postgraduate modules in Private Law
- Supervising postgraduate students
- Conducting and publishing research in accredited journals and books
- Taking on administrative and committee roles within the Faculty and Department
- Participating in community engagement initiatives
Minimum Requirements
To be considered, candidates must have:
- A doctoral degree in Private Law
- At least 3-5 years of lecturing experience
- A strong publication track record
- Excellent teaching and communication skills
