

Senior FP&A Analyst

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the preparation and analysis of financial forecasts, annual budgets, and long-range strategic plans.
- Conduct detailed variance analysis between actual results, forecasts, and budgets, providing insightful explanations and recommendations.
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to support business initiatives, investment decisions, and scenario planning.
- Prepare comprehensive financial reports and presentations for senior management and stakeholders, highlighting key performance indicators and trends.
- Partner with various departments (e.g., Sales, Operations, Marketing) to understand business drivers and provide financial guidance.
- Identify opportunities for process improvements and efficiency gains within the FP&A function.
- Contribute to ad-hoc financial projects and analyses as required.
- Ensure data integrity and accuracy in all financial reporting and analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A postgraduate qualification (e.g., CA(SA), CIMA, MBA) is highly advantageous.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in Financial Planning & Analysis, preferably within the financial services or private equity sector.
- Proven experience with financial modelling, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, complex formulas, VBA is a plus) and PowerPoint.
- Experience with financial planning software (e.g., SAP BPC, Oracle Hyperion, Adaptive Insights) is a strong advantage.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities effectively.
- High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
