Senior Bookkeeper

Our accounting firm client in Cape Town is seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to work remotely. The ideal candidate will have solid experience in an accounting firm environment.

Key Requirements

To be considered, you must have:

• A financial accounting qualification (e.g., degree)
• Solid experience as an Accountant/Senior Accountant in an accounting firm
• The ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Responsibilities

As a Senior Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for:

• Processing Pastel income statement and balance sheet items
• Preparing monthly journals and reconciliations
• Maintaining fixed asset registers
• Reconciling customer and supplier ledgers
• Preparing financial statements on Draftworks
• Supervising junior accountants

The salary for this position is R520,000 – R600,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
