Position Summary

The University of Johannesburg (UJ) is seeking a Project Manager to lead the Technology Assisted Learning project within the Centre for Academic Technologies.

Job Description

The Centre for Academic Technologies (CAT) supports teaching and learning through innovative technologies. The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership and management of student advising services and helpdesk operations, ensuring exceptional support for online and blended learning students.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading and developing a team of student Advisors and support staff
  • Implementing evidence-based advising strategies and interventions
  • Managing daily helpdesk operations and supervising helpdesk staff
  • Developing standard operating procedures and quality assurance protocols
  • Coordinating student transition support and academic pathways for online learners

Minimum Requirements

An Honours degree (NQF 8) or equivalent qualification in a relevant field, with a minimum of five years’ experience in student support services or academic advising.
