The University of the Free State is seeking a Programme Director for the Bachelor of Social Science programme. This is a5-year contract position.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for the development and management of the Bachelor of Social Science programme, including curriculum design, quality management, and academic advising.

Responsibilities

• Design and redesign of the curriculum
• Development of new learning programmes
• Management of the operational plan of the programme
• Providing leadership and ensuring academic coherence across all modules
• Motivating and leading employees to achieve transformation within the programme

Requirements

• A PhD in a relevant field
• Full-time, permanent member of the academic staff of the Faculty of Humanities, Qwaqwa Campus
• Appointed at Senior Lecturer level or higher
