Position Summary
The University of Johannesburg (UJ) is seeking a Professor for the Faculty of Humanities: Department of Psychology. UJ is a vibrant and cosmopolitan institution guided by its UJ Strategy2035.
Job Description
The Department of Psychology offers various modules at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including a comprehensive Honours degree and Master’s degrees leading to registration as a Clinical or Counselling Psychologist with the HPCSA.
Responsibilities include:
- Contribution to departmental research initiatives and output
- Research fund-raising
- Teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels
- Course coordination and curriculum development
- Research and clinical supervision at Master’s and Doctoral levels
Minimum Requirements
A PhD degree in Psychology, registration as a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist with the HPCSA, and a track record of accredited publications are required.
