Planner – Engineering

About the Role
As an Engineering Planner, you will be responsible for planning, leading, and controlling engineering maintenance activities using a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS). You will work closely with various engineering teams and other departments to ensure high equipment uptime and efficiency. This role is perfect for a self-starter who thrives on resolving challenges related to maintenance planning and scheduling.
Your daily routine will include work planning and risk assessments, contributing to a safe and efficient working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, lead, and control all engineering maintenance activities within the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Support the achievement of the overall operational plan.
- Collaborate to develop, maintain, and implement the plant’s maintenance plan.
- Ensure all plant and equipment are fully maintained according to schedules.
- Effectively manage the CMMS system.
- Oversee and manage maintenance shutdowns.
- Ensure strict adherence and compliance with all Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) legislation, policies, and procedures.
- Implement and monitor cost control measures.
- Perform necessary administrative tasks.
Minimum Requirements
- N3 Engineering Qualification.
- Intermediate computer literacy.
- A relevant trade certificate is preferred (e.g., Mechanical Fitter, Boilermaking, Electrical, Civils). Candidates with other relevant engineering qualifications (Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering) will also be considered.
- RCM (Reliability Centre Maintenance) or OMM (Optimal Maintenance Mix) training.
- Code 8 driver’s licence.
- At least 4 years of relevant working experience in a heavy industrial environment.
- Proven experience with a Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Experience in project planning.

Working Conditions
- This role is primarily office and plant-based, which includes exposure to hazardous chemicals and biological agents.
