Penetration Tester

Capitec Bank Ltd is looking for a skilled Penetration Tester to join their team in Stellenbosch.

Purpose Statement

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the business is prepared and skilled to mitigate any cyber security threat by assessing and testing the applications and processes of the Bank, identifying potential areas of weaknesses, and playing a key role in developing world-class cyber security capabilities.

Experience

The ideal candidate will have:

• 3-5 years’ experience in cyber security testing (minimum)
• 5+ years in cyber security testing (ideal)
• 2-3 years financial services/banking experience (ideal)
• Experience with Agile and DevOps models

Qualifications

The successful candidate will have:

• Grade 12 National Certificate/Vocational
• Certification in Information Technology
• A relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology or IT Engineering (ideal)

Knowledge and Skills

The ideal candidate will have knowledge of:

• Manual and automated security testing
• Technical vulnerability assessments
• Common network protocols and system architecture
• Scripting languages (e.g. Python, Bash, PowerShell)
• Pen-testing tools and methodologies (e.g. OWASP Top 10)

The successful candidate will also have excellent communication and analytical skills.
