Manager I: Systems Administration & Access Control (P8) (Protection Services)

The University of Johannesburg (UJ) is seeking a skilled Manager I: Systems Administration & Access Control to join its Protection Services team.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing an effective and efficient access control service for all University premises, facilities, and clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage and optimize the operations and resources of the Department and University.
• Configure, integrate, and administer technologies of the4IR to enhance the University’s enforcement capabilities.
• Oversee security systems administration, access control, and communication.
• Ensure compliance with security policies, processes, and practices.
• Manage budgets, procurement, and logistics.
• Liaise with stakeholders and maintain effective communication.

Minimum Requirements

• Degree or relevant qualification (NQF7) in IT, Computer Science, Electronic Engineering.
• Three (3) to five (5) years of job-related experience at a supervisory/management level.
• Eligible for Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority (PSIRA) registration.
• Valid Driver’s license.
