Your Role as Finance Business Partnering Manager
As the Manager: Finance Business Partnering, you will lead a team to ensure Capitec Bank achieves its strategic objectives: profitability, operational efficiency, process excellence, and compliance. You will provide strong financial leadership across Shared Services, empowering your team and building trusted relationships with internal stakeholders. Your expertise in operational finance, cost management, and compliance will be key to delivering proactive and innovative solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead a team of finance business partners and costing analysts for Shared Services (HR, IT, Risk, Operations).
- Partner with service owners to interpret cost drivers, service delivery metrics, and financial performance.
- Guide forecasts and budgets, providing insights for strategic decision-making and cost optimization.
- Improve reporting measures like cost-to-serve and return on investment, and enhance understanding across the organization.
- Apply knowledge of financial frameworks (e.g., IFRS, internal controls) to assess financial impacts and ensure compliance.
What We Are Looking For
- Qualification: A CA(SA) or CIMA qualification (non-negotiable).
- Experience: 8+ years in financial and operational management, with proven accountability for business plans, risk, compliance, and objective delivery.
- Leadership: Strong leadership experience, managing and developing significant teams, fostering cohesion, and driving high performance.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Demonstrated ability to engage with senior/executive stakeholders and represent finance externally.
- Proactiveness: A track record of proactively improving team energy, cohesion, and processes rather than only following direction.
- Industry Background: Experience in large corporates or financial services (banking, insurance, fintech, payments), with the agility to thrive in a fast-paced culture.
- Career Growth: A commitment to long-term career growth, with aspirations to progress within the organization.
- Project Management: Proven experience managing financial projects and delivering on strategic initiatives.
