Capitec Bank is seeking an experienced Manager: Data and Analytics (AI and Data Science) to lead our AI and advanced analytics initiatives.

About the Role

As the Manager: Data Science/AI, you will drive innovation and enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. You will lead a high-performing team of data scientists to deliver impactful AI/ML solutions aligned with business objectives.

Responsibilities

You will be at the forefront of identifying AI-driven opportunities, overseeing the development and deployment of cutting-edge models, and ensuring alignment with ethical and compliance standards.

Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone with over5 years of experience in AI/ML model development and deployment, including2 years as a manager or team lead within an analytical team.

Requirements

• Experience with AI frameworks such as TensorFlow and PyTorch
• Hands-on experience integrating AI Models into applications and services
• Big data frameworks – Hadoop/Kafka
• Github experience or Git

Education

Completed an Honors Degree or higher
