Job Summary
The Faculty of Art, Design & Architecture (FADA) is inviting applications for the position of Lecturer in the Graduate School of Architecture (GSA) as part of the New Generation of Academics Programme (nGAP).
Responsibilities
- Teach and assess in relevant postgraduate modules, particularly within the joint professional BArch(Hons)/MArch (Prof) programme.
- Supervise student work within the Unit System and/or associated research clusters.
- Contribute to the GSA’s creative and research outputs, including exhibitions, symposia, and publications.
- Participate in the development of innovative and contextually grounded research projects aligned with the GSA’s pedagogical goals.
Minimum Requirements
- A relevant Master’s degree in Architecture or equivalent (NQF level9) with a minimum of70% academic performance.
- Demonstrated academic potential and commitment to pursuing a doctoral degree within the first three years of appointment.
- Strong design and research portfolio that includes work aligned with transformative, socially engaged, or experimental architectural practice.
