The Department of Industrial Psychology is expanding its teaching and research capacity in Industrial Psychology and Human Resource Management. We aim to be a globally recognized leader, shaping the future of work through advanced research, education, and practice.
We are seeking a dedicated Lecturer in Industrial Psychology to join our Extended Curriculum Programme (ECP). This is an internal-only vacancy, offering a full-time, permanent position.
About the Role
As a Lecturer in Industrial Psychology within the Extended Curriculum Programme, you will play a crucial role in educating and mentoring students, contributing to research, and fostering academic excellence. Your focus will be on Industrial Psychology and Human Resource Management related subjects.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate learning for undergraduate students in Industrial Psychology, using both face-to-face and online/blended learning methods.
- Conduct research and publish your findings in the field of Industrial Psychology/Human Resource Management.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research students.
- Provide academic leadership and support departmental administration.
- Contribute to curriculum development and student assessment.
- Participate in community engagement and outreach initiatives.
Minimum Requirements
- A Master’s qualification or equivalent in Industrial Psychology, Human Resource Management, or Management.
- Demonstrated extensive experience (at least 5 years) in facilitating learning in Commerce within an Extended Curriculum Programme (ECP) setting.
Added Advantages
- Registration with the South African Board for People Practices (SABPP).
- Proven postgraduate research supervision experience in Industrial Psychology/Human Resource Management.
