Job Description

The Department of Psychology offers various modules at the undergraduate level and comprehensive broad-based Honours and Master’s degrees. The Department has a vibrant research culture and hosts public lectures and research events.

Responsibilities

• Contribution to departmental research initiatives and output.
• Teaching at the undergraduate and postgraduate level.
• Contribute to the Clinical/Counselling Psychology professional training programme.
• Research and clinical supervision at the Master’s level.
• Research supervision at Honours level.
• Course coordination, curriculum development, and associated administration.

Minimum Requirements

• Masters qualification (NQF9) with PhD in progress.
• Two (2) years’ lecturing experience.
• Knowledge of general psychology.
• Knowledge of clinical/counselling psychology.
• Experience in clinical/therapeutic supervision.
• Registration as a Clinical/Counselling Psychologist with the HPCSA.
