Job Description

The University of the Free State is seeking a Lecturer in Accounting Education to join the Department of Social Sciences and Commerce Education. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching Accounting Education modules, participating in research activities, and contributing to the development of the faculty.

Duties and Responsibilities

The lecturer will be expected to:

• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate modules in Accounting Education
• Participate in the Work Integrated Learning programme of the faculty
• Engage in research activities and produce research outputs
• Contribute to curriculum development in Accounting Education
• Supervise and provide consultation sessions for students

Requirements

A PhD or Master’s degree in Accounting Education or a related field is required. The successful candidate should have a formal teaching qualification and relevant working experience.
