Job Summary

The University of the Western Cape (UWC) is seeking a Lecturer in the Department of Medical Biosciences. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching, research, and community engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate learning and teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate levels in Physiology
• Conduct research and publish in the field of Physiology
• Undertake undergraduate and postgraduate supervision
• Participate in community engagement and outreach
• Play a role in the administrative activities of the Department and Faculty

Minimum Requirements

• MSc qualification in Physiology or related field, with a clear plan for completing a PhD
• Experience in facilitating learning and teaching in Physiology
• Evidence of high-quality, peer-reviewed research outputs
• A record of postgraduate research supervision at Honours level
