Job Summary

The University of the Western Cape is seeking a Lecturer for the School of Nursing in the Faculty of Community and Health Sciences. This is a permanent full-time position.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• Coordinating activities for undergraduate and clinical programmes.
• Supervision of Masters level research if they hold a PhD.
• Teaching and learning at an undergraduate level and/or post graduate level.
• Participating in research programmes.
• Developing industry and academic partnerships.
• Engaging in community outreach.

Minimum Requirements

• A Master’s in Nursing or a Master’s in a related Health discipline.
• Experience in teaching.
• Evidence of publication output.
• Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Professional Nurse / Midwife / Community Health Nurse/Psychiatric Nurse.
• Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a Nurse Educator.
