Junior Attorney

Job Overview

Our client, a professional services/law firm, is seeking a Junior Attorney with at least2 years post-admission experience with a focus on corporate or commercial matters.

Minimum Requirements

  • LLB degree from a recognised South African university.
  • Admission as an attorney of the High Court of South Africa.
  • Minimum2 years post-admission experience with a focus on corporate or commercial matters.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Attention to detail and organisational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong analytical and research skills.
  • Experience in handling corporate commercial transactions and legal documentation.
  • Strong understanding of corporate and commercial law principles.
  • Ability to work independently as part of a team.
  • High level of integrity and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting senior attorneys in drafting and reviewing legal documents related to company formation, mergers, acquisitions, and general commercial law matters.
  • Conducting legal research and analysis on various legal issues.
  • Providing support in due diligence processes for corporate transactions.
  • Assisting in preparing and presenting legal opinions and advice to clients.
  • Liaising with clients and external parties on legal matters.
  • Staying updated with relevant legal developments and regulations.
  • Collaborating with team members on various legal projects and initiatives.
