Job Overview
Our Engineering client seeks an experienced HR Officer with5+ years of experience as an HR Generalist. The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of HR best practices, relevant legislation, and experience working with the MEIBC bargaining council.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive HR support across all HR functions, ensuring compliance, and supporting business objectives. Key responsibilities include:
- Managing end-to-end recruitment processes
- Processing and managing payroll for approximately200 staff
- Preparing and submitting statutory returns
- Coordinating and supporting performance appraisal processes
- Providing guidance on disciplinary matters and conflict resolution
Requirements
The ideal candidate should have:
- A BCom in Human Resources or equivalent HR qualification
- Minimum5 years’ experience as an HR Officer within the engineering industry
- Proven experience working with MEIBC
- Technical skills in full-cycle recruitment, payroll administration (SAGE VIP), and statutory returns
