Head of Pricing (Pretoria)

Job Summary:

A leading commercial risk specialist in Southern Africa is seeking a Head of Pricing to lead pricing strategy across multiple short-term insurance lines. This senior role will oversee a team and play a key role in pricing model development, portfolio analysis, and stakeholder alignment to support the business’s financial goals.

Key Responsibilities:

Develop, assess, and optimize pricing strategies; lead complex pricing projects; guide portfolio performance analysis; manage, mentor, and develop the pricing team; oversee pricing tools; and provide actuarial support and reporting.

Qualifications & Experience:

A university degree in Actuarial Science or related field, FASSA qualification or international equivalent, and5+ years of experience in short-term insurance pricing are required.

Skills & Knowledge:

Strong leadership, collaboration, and communication skills; advanced knowledge of actuarial pricing tools; and a deep understanding of insurance industry trends and regulations are necessary.
