

Head of Faculty Administration (P6) (Faculty of Law: Dean’s Office) (Re-advert)
Position Summary
The University of Johannesburg (UJ) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head of Faculty Administration to lead the administration of the Faculty of Law.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading an efficient, client-focused, one-stop Faculty Administration, developing support resources, and implementing the faculty’s strategic plan.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading the Faculty Administration team
- Developing and implementing support resources
- Communicating and monitoring the implementation of the faculty’s strategic plan
- Providing support for policy development
- Participating in the Executive Dean’s Committee
- Acting as faculty Secretary
- Planning academic administration activities
- Facilitating and managing enrolment planning and admission processes
Minimum Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:
- A postgraduate qualification (NQF9) or equivalent
- 4-5 years’ experience in a managerial position
- Ability to learn, understand, and apply policies and procedures
- Computer skills, including the ability to acquire skills as required
- Proficiency in English
- Knowledge of Faculty rules and regulations
- Knowledge of UJ policies and processes
- Knowledge of business processes
- Minimum knowledge of accounting and financial principles
- Experience in ITS, MAMS, and HEMIS systems
