Our client in Retreat, Cape Town is seeking an experienced Financial Administrator/Bookkeeper to join their team.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • Matric or a Financial Certificate/Diploma (an advantage)
  • Working knowledge of relevant statutory regulations (VAT, Companies Act)
  • 3-4 years of experience in a finance, admin, and invoicing environment, preferably in a distribution, warehouse, and dispatch FMCG supply chain setting
  • Proficiency in Pastel/SAGE Evolution

Responsibilities

As a Financial Administrator, your duties will include:

  • Assisting with bookkeeping and maintaining the trial balance
  • Processing and updating relevant general ledger journals
  • Managing the fixed asset register and updating as required
  • Preparing monthly G/L Balance Sheet reconciliations (excluding debtors and creditors)
  • Processing and loading payments onto the banking electronic system for approval
  • Performing monthly bank reconciliations
  • Preparing monthly VAT returns for the company
  • Assisting with the compilation of a monthly cash flow for Financial Manager review
