Financial Accountant (1 year FTC)

Capitec Bank Ltd is seeking a Financial Accountant to join their team in Sandton.

Purpose Statement

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all financial accounting transactions are effectively and efficiently recorded and accounted for within the financial results. This will include reviewing and analyzing financial results, performing and reviewing Balance Sheet reconciliations, and providing subject matter expertise and guidance.

Experience

The ideal candidate will have completed SAICA/SAIPA Articles and have 0-2 years of post-articles working experience in Financial Accounting. Experience with SAP system (accounting module/s) and Capitec experience is an advantage.

Qualifications

A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting – Financial Accounting is required. An Honours Degree in Accounting – Financial Accounting is preferred.

Knowledge and Skills

The successful candidate will have knowledge and understanding of IFRS, GAAP, accounting principles, computerized accounting systems, and South African Tax. They will also have analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
