About the Role
As the IM Enterprise Architect – Integration, you will be responsible for defining and governing the enterprise integration architecture across both IT (Information Technology) and OT (Operational Technology) environments, encompassing cloud and on-premises solutions. Your role is crucial in aligning architectural strategies with business goals, optimising costs, mitigating risks, and supporting sustainability initiatives for a complex industrial setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive enterprise integration strategies, frameworks, standards, and roadmaps.
- Drive the enterprise architecture (EA) practice, acting as an internal management consultant.
- Define and enforce architectural guardrails and reference patterns to ensure consistency and compliance.
- Evaluate and standardise integration technologies to foster innovation and efficiency.
- Lead strategies for cloud and hybrid integration solutions.
- Analyse and optimise integration costs to maximise value.
- Ensure strict compliance with cybersecurity, data privacy, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate effectively with business leaders, the CIO, IT, and security functions.
- Drive change management and technology adoption throughout the organisation.
- Provide expert technical guidance to infrastructure, application, and data teams.
- Stay updated on emerging technologies and recommend their adoption when appropriate.
- Promote and embed health and safety principles, championing a zero-harm culture.
- Contribute to a high-performing, purpose-driven, and inclusive culture.
- Ensure adherence to internal policies, industry regulations, and external compliance requirements.
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications & Certifications
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, System Analysis, or equivalent practical experience.
- Desirable: Master’s degree in a related field.
- Required Certifications: Enterprise Architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman); Valid EB/Code 08 driver’s licence.
- Desirable Certifications: Cloud architecture, IT governance, and security certifications.
Experience
You should have 5–7 years of relevant experience, specifically in:
- Integration architecture, cloud architecture, or digital transformation initiatives.
- Leading cross-functional teams, particularly during cloud migrations.
- Infrastructure modernisation and automation within large enterprises.
- Vendor and contract management.
- Navigating complex regulatory compliance, especially concerning data security and privacy.
- Experience in the mining or a similar industrial sector is highly preferred.
Technical Knowledge & Skills
- Profound expertise in APIs, middleware, and various system integration technologies.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing, data governance, and data platform design.
- Familiarity with microservices, DevOps principles, CI/CD pipelines, and streaming/event-driven architectures.
- Knowledge of data modeling, data lakes, and data warehousing technologies.
- Expertise in integration security best practices and privacy regulations.
- Advanced skills in cloud platforms and data governance.
- Developing capabilities in AI/ML and analytics platforms.
- Ability to apply expertise persistently to achieve impact.

- Highly collaborative and persistent approach to problem-solving.
- Must possess a valid medical certificate of fitness.
- Flexibility for ad hoc travel as required.
