

Employment Equity Manager (P7) (Human Capital Management Division: Transformation Department)
Position Summary
The University of Johannesburg (UJ) is seeking an experienced Employment Equity Manager to promote and manage the implementation of employment equity policies and practices at the university.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, implementing, and monitoring UJ’s Employment Equity Plan, ensuring compliance with applicable employment equity legislation, and driving transformation initiatives.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and implementing UJ’s Employment Equity Plan
- Providing expert guidance on EE policies and best practices
- Identifying barriers to equity and recommending solutions
- Ensuring compliance with EE-related legislation
- Preparing and submitting statutory EE reports
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will need:
- A Bachelor’s Degree (NQF 7) in Human Resources, Social Sciences, or a related field
- Five years of experience in employment equity and anti-discrimination legislation
- A proven track record of developing and implementing employment equity plans
- Knowledge of South African employment equity legislation
