Electrician or Electrical Engineer (Johannesburg)

Are you a skilled Electrician or Electrical Engineer looking for an exciting opportunity in Johannesburg? This unique role requires fluency in Mandarin and English to facilitate crucial communication and technical interpretation on significant projects.

About the Role

As an Electrician or Electrical Engineer, you will be a vital part of our project team. A key aspect of your responsibilities will be to act as an interpreter, bridging language gaps between Mandarin and English speakers. This will happen during critical consultations, intricate installations, and important technical meetings. You will also be responsible for accurately interpreting complex electrical engineering technical reports in both Mandarin and English.

What You’ll Need (Qualifications & Experience)

• Education: A National Diploma (NQF Level 6) is essential.
• Experience: You must have a minimum of 3 years’ proven experience in electrical engineering projects, with a strong track record in construction supervision and contract administration.
• Language Skills: Fluency in both Mandarin and English is a non-negotiable requirement for effective interpretation duties.
• Licence: A valid South African driver’s license is required.

Bonus Points (Advantageous)

Having one of the following will be a significant advantage in your application:

• A valid Wireman’s License.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) or Professional Engineering Technologist (Pr Tech Eng) with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA).
