The Department of Health, in a joint appointment with Wits University, is seeking a dedicated and experienced Dentist (Grade 1/2/3) to join the Paediatric and Restorative Dentistry Directorate at the Wits Oral Health Centre. This is an excellent opportunity for a professional looking to contribute to clinical services, teaching, and research in Johannesburg, Gauteng.

About the Role

As a Dentist Grade 1/2/3, you will be instrumental in providing essential clinical dental services, actively participating in the teaching and training of undergraduate students, conducting research, and contributing to all departmental activities and related administration. This is a vital position to support both patient care and the development of future dental professionals.

Key Requirements

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Registration with the HPCSA as a Dentist in independent practice.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of appropriate experience as a Dentist.
  • Preferably, you should have exposure to undergraduate teaching and training.
  • An MSc Dent Degree/equivalent or a postgraduate qualification in Health will be a significant advantage.

Salary & Benefits

This position offers a competitive annual inclusive package, excluding commuted overtime:

  • Annual Salary: R972,612.00 – R1,322,352.00
