DENTAL ASSISTANT GRADE 2 (SUPERVISOR)

Job Summary

The Department of Health is seeking a qualified Dental Assistant Grade 2 (Supervisor) to join the SMU Oral Health Centre team.

Requirements

Grade 12 with a national certificate in dental assisting or equivalent qualification with prior experience. Registration with Health Professional Council of South Africa (HPCSA) as a Dental Assistant and proof of current registration. A minimum of 10 years appropriate experience as a dental assistant after obtaining appropriate qualification or prescribed in service training that allows for the required registration with HPCSA and experience in dental assisting supervisory role.

Duties

Provision of satisfactory client service, organisation and maintenance of administrative duties, practice and maintenance of infection control standards, and participation in student teaching and training.
