About the Role

As a Delivery Lead, you will be instrumental in steering IT teams through the entire product lifecycle. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the successful delivery of all product features, alongside managing crucial support and maintenance tasks within Capitec Bank Operations. This role demands a visionary leader who can continuously drive efficiency, foster innovation, and cultivate a high-performing team.

What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)

• Provide strong direction and leadership to IT teams.
• Oversee the full product lifecycle, from conception to delivery and maintenance.
• Ensure the successful delivery of new product features and enhancements.
• Manage support and maintenance activities efficiently.
• Champion initiatives to increase operational efficiency and optimise processes.
• Drive innovation within the team and across projects.
• Focus on the ongoing development and growth of team members.

What We’re Looking For (Requirements)

Minimum Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in software development management, including leading a technical team.
• Proven experience in progressive database or software development roles.
• Track record of validating work and ensuring quality.
• Strong stakeholder relationship engagement and management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to deliver results in a fast-paced environment.
• Good general business acumen.
• Experience in the retail credit industry and banking industry.
• Understanding of budgeting, accounting principles, business analysis, and design.
• Familiarity with the implementation and maintenance of financial and contact centre systems.
• Knowledge of Project Management principles and methodologies.
• Proficiency in the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Ideal Experience

• Experience in a Central Collections environment.
• Familiarity with Capitec Bank’s systems environment and business model.
• Knowledge of Agile development principles.

Minimum Qualifications

• Grade 12 National Certificate / Vocational.

Ideal Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology (Computer Science or Programming).
