Job Summary

The University of Johannesburg (UJ) is seeking a Coordinator II: Marketing to support initiatives that enhance the university’s reputation and brand visibility.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating marketing and communication activities, event planning, and management in line with the university’s strategic objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Effective event planning and execution
  • Defining event purpose, target audience, and desired outcomes
  • Creating project plans and managing budgets
  • Managing venues, transportation, catering, and equipment setup
  • Assessing event success through feedback and ROI analysis

Minimum Requirements

A relevant Bachelor’s degree (NQF 7) in Administration/Hospitality/Event Management and or Project Management, with 2-3 years’ experience in Marketing/Brand/Event and Project Management roles.
