Compliance Officer – Cape Town, South Africa

Our client, a reputable law firm, is seeking an experienced Compliance Officer with a proven track record in a law firm environment. The successful candidate will utilize their legal expertise to ensure the firm complies with all relevant legal standards and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and manage control systems to prevent or address legal and policy violations
• Provide legal advice on compliance issues to ensure regulatory alignment
• Continuously evaluate and improve control efficiency, identifying risks
• Draft and implement legally sound company policies
• Collaborate with legal and HR teams to enforce standards and regulations

Qualifications and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Law / LLB or related field, with a minimum of5 years’ experience as a Compliance Officer, including3+ years in a law firm. Solid FICA experience and certification in compliance are advantageous.
