

Clinical Educator
Job Summary
The University of Cape Town’s Division of Interdisciplinary Palliative Care and Medicine is seeking a Clinical Educator to support the integration of palliative care in three Western Cape sites as part of the Healthy Futures programme.
Responsibilities
This role includes teaching, mentorship, research, and social responsiveness, with attention to issues of transformation and equity. The successful candidate will also perform administrative functions at the Divisional, Departmental, Faculty, and University levels if needed.
Requirements
- Degree in nursing or social work and a postgraduate qualification in palliative care at NQF level 8.
- Registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) or the South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP).
- Three years’ experience in palliative care.
- Knowledge of palliative care policy, health equity, and human rights for health.
- Demonstrable previous experience in teaching and mentorship.
- Organisational skills and ability to work within an interdisciplinary team.
