What You Will Do (Duties)

As a Cleaner, your key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Thoroughly wiping and mopping floors.
  • Cleaning and disinfecting lockers, steel dust bins, and basins.
  • Ensuring the correct and safe usage of all cleaning equipment and chemicals.
  • Cleaning toilets and updating checklists three times a day.
  • Replacing hand towels and refilling soap dispensers in all designated areas (cubicles, side wards, bathrooms, bowl rooms, and toilets).
  • Cleaning lockers, bedsteads, curtain rails, and trolleys.
  • Performing thorough cleaning, disinfection, and terminal cleaning procedures.
  • Cleaning and maintaining all cleaning machinery, double mop units, mops, buckets, and dusters after each use and three times a week.
  • Ensuring the safe keeping and storage of all cleaning equipment and materials.
  • Performing all assigned laundry duties.

What We Are Looking For (Requirements)

  • Education: Minimum of Grade 10 or an equivalent qualification.
  • Experience: At least 1 year of cleaning and/or laundry experience, preferably gained in a hospital or clinical environment.
  • Skills & Attributes:
    • Knowledge of effective customer service practices.
    • Must be self-driven and highly motivated.
    • Ability to read, write, and work effectively as part of a team.
    • Must be available to work various shifts, as required.

Salary & Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive annual package of R138 486.00, along with additional benefits.
