Chief Director – Sustainable Planning

Job Summary

The Gauteng Department of Human Settlements is seeking a Chief Director – Sustainable Planning to lead the department’s sustainable planning initiatives.

Requirements

A Matric plus an undergraduate qualification (NQF level7) in Town and Regional Planning, recognized by SAQA. Minimum5 years’ experience at Senior management level in Infrastructure Delivery Planning and Regional Planning. Registration with SACPLAN is an added advantage. Possession of a Pre-Entry Certificate for SMS and a valid driver’s license is required.

Duties

Provide strategic guidance on research that informs Human Settlements programmes. Oversee planning and design processes for sustainable human settlements. Manage Geographical Information System (GIS) support and department community empowerment programmes.
