

Chief Director: Resource Management
The Gauteng Office of the Premier is looking for a highly experienced and strategic individual to join as the Chief Director: Resource Management. This senior leadership role is critical for overseeing corporate services functions and ensuring efficient resource management within the Corporate Management Branch.
About the Role
As the Chief Director: Resource Management, you will lead the implementation of strategic corporate services, ensuring the smooth operation and effective management of human resources, information technology, security, and office support. You will play a pivotal role in advising executive management and driving key initiatives within the Premier’s Office.

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for a broad range of corporate service functions, including:
- Overseeing Human Resources Management, including organisational development, labour relations, employee health and wellness, occupational health and safety, workplace transformation, training and development, and performance management.
- Managing Information and Communication Technology (ICT) systems, IT infrastructure, knowledge management, and technical support.
- Coordinating internal communications and events management services.
- Ensuring robust security services, including the implementation of information security standards, employee vetting, and providing technical security support.
- Managing office support and auxiliary services.
- Providing high-level strategic advice and recommendations to Executive Management for informed decision-making and forward planning.
- Monitoring the development and review of policies and strategies.
- Ensuring the effective implementation of the Annual Performance Plan.
- Managing and monitoring the budget, human resources, and assets within the Chief Directorate.
Requirements
To be considered for this vital role, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- An appropriate undergraduate qualification (NQF Level 7) in Public Administration Management, Strategic Management, Human Resource Management, or any related field.
- A mandatory Nyukela Certificate for entry into the Senior Management Service (SMS) from the National School of Government.
- A higher qualification of NQF Level 8 will be an added advantage.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience at a senior managerial level within a corporate services environment.
