About the Role
As a Business Analyst I, you will play a crucial role in improving Capitec Bank’s business operations. Your primary goal will be to make processes more efficient by leveraging automation, digital tools, data insights, and information and communication technology (ICT) solutions. You’ll achieve this by systematically analyzing business requirements and creating detailed functional specifications.
This role effectively combines business and data analysis expertise. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and continuously enhancing solutions, acting as a vital strategic link between business stakeholders, technology teams, and product development teams.
What You’ll Be Doing (Key Responsibilities)
- Systematically analyze business requirements and translate them into clear functional specifications.
- Optimise business processes through the strategic use of automation, digital, data, and ICT solutions.
- Design and implement innovative solutions, ensuring their continuous improvement and enhancement.
- Act as a strategic bridge, fostering strong connections between business stakeholders, technology, and product teams.
- Develop and document business processes, context diagrams, and visual explanations of requirements.
- Engage actively with and collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders across the organisation.
- Apply core Project Management and Agile development lifecycle principles to your work.
Who We’re Looking For (Requirements)
Education
- Minimum: A relevant tertiary qualification in Business Analysis.
Experience & Knowledge
- Minimum (2-4 years):
- Working experience in various business analysis knowledge areas, demonstrating the ability to work independently on smaller assignments or under supervision on larger projects.
- Proven experience in business and data analysis.
- Strong understanding of business processes and the ability to translate requirements into actionable plans, including context diagrams and visual explanations.
- Experience in functional and business process design.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively translate information between business and technical environments (acting as an interface between business and technology).
- Experience in designing evidence-based best practice solutions.
- Familiarity with Project Management principles and relevant development lifecycle experience.
- Experience with Agile development lifecycle principles.
- Understanding of systems and the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Understanding of technology/tools/platforms such as SQL, PowerBI, Salesforce, AWS, and Python.
- Please note: While completion of BA School of Learning Level 2 is mentioned, relevant equivalent training or experience will be considered.
